This is YOUR LIFE. And you deserve a good one!

Happy Cyber Monday

Greetings from the Atlanta airport or what I warmly now call HELL. Seriously, why are the employees so mean here. It’s almost feels like an SNL skit at times. I am having some challenges getting home to Lexington after this Thanksgiving weekend, but I am working to keep a positive and grateful attitude. I am settling into my 12th hour here but everything is fine. It’s FINE!!! lol

Lucky for you- I have a few hours before my flight departs (third time is a charm right??!) and I have to share some thoughts with you. This idea or concept of SCRIPTING YOUR OWN STORY and not TRYING TO COPY THEIRS.

Did you see the Cowboy’s football game on Thanksgiving Day? You didn’t have to watch it to know that Dolly Parton was the TALK of the day. I feel like it’s all I have heard about.  My Instagram and Facebook feed has been FILLED with posts and reels on Dolly.  And at 77 years old- She looks unreal.  No argument here. Like truly UNREAL!

But I am going to be really blunt.

I COULD CARE LESS.

I could care less about Dolly’s skin care routine. I could care less about her exercise routine (she apparently hates exercise so I don’t think there is one to care about!) nor her diet. It’s not that I don’t think Dolly is great. But what I KNOW is that my wellness journey has nothing to do with Dolly.

We LOVE to compare ourselves to people that have resources beyond our understanding and then we get frustrated when we can’t look like that.

We want the cheat code.

We want the shortcut.

We convince ourselves if we get the plastic surgery, we get the shot, we stick to the latest diet craze - that we can look like them too. We are so focused on how to COPY THEIR STORY (even when its actually impossible to do so) – when we should be SCRIPTING OUR OWN!

Today - I am here to beg and plead with you. If you want to find the joy in your journey here on Earth- you need to put the blinders on.  STOP COMPARING YOURSELF to the RICH AND FAMOUS. The healthiest people I know are WRITING THEIR OWN STORY. They are obsessed with no one else’s story but their own.

They are laser focused on themselves. They explore- and then follow the routines that best serve them. They are continually checking -in on their “book.” They make edits to their days/weeks and months. What I call editing their chapters. Yes- as their own authors- they take the story where they want.

They are controlling what they can and are finding a deep satisfaction in getting to know their main character- THEMSELVES.

At Kitchen Shift and in my MemberSHIFT group- I am always pushing my clients to begin their book What is their STORY? What does their journey look like? What do they want to learn about themselves? What do they want to heal and overcome? What do they hope to achieve? What are the results they want? This is so much more than food. Or how you look in the mirror.

This is YOUR LIFE. And you deserve a good one.

I would love the opportunity to help you write a chapter of your book in 2024. I don’t do anything half ass- so expect this to be a good chapter. Let’s SCRIPT YOUR STORY!

This Cyber Monday I have some great deals that end tomorrow. From POWERSHIFT to an incredible deal on my MemberSHIFT group (commit to a YEAR with me!)- there is something for everyone.
